This is school on your schedule—an online master’s degree program that's tailored to meet your needs as a working professional, offering a range of start date options in the summer, fall, and spring.

Master of Mass Communication
Offered as an in-person program and online program by the School of Journalism and Mass Communications
Focus: Multimedia Journalism (in-person only) and Strategic Communication Management
- Can complete Strategic Communications courses online
- 36 credit hours
- Can complete part-time or full-time
- No certificate option, but an in-person joint JD-MMC is available for those interested in media law
Master of Data and Communication
Collaboration between the School of Journalism and Mass Communications and the School of Information Science
Focus: Data-Driven Communications and Data Insights
- Fully online program with internships offered either in-person or online
- 30 credit hours
- Can complete part-time
- Can complete certificate program (12 hours) first with the option to continue on to also earn a master's degree
